Coke , pepsi and who else in soft drink market ?

Tata tea is trying to place itself in soft drink fmcg market for sometime. Company had good opportunity with Vitamin water ( Glecou ) but coke steal the show by acquiring Glecou . Locally Himalya is majority owned by Tata Tea. Can Tata trump these international players . May be ? They did magic in Car marker and same can happen in soft drink. After all Thumps up used to rule indian market untill coke bought Parle.

Ruchi soya with 12000 cr revenue and 50 cr profit , what's wrong ?

I like food sector overall for next decade and Ruchi is one of the company that can be a big hit. But there are serious questions on why there is only 50 cr profit for 4th largest fmcg company in India

May be not a huge brand portfolio that usually provides better profit margin. There is interest burden due to high debt,  As compared KS OIl stock is not liked much by investors. Not they are mrging other group companies into a single one . What is reasoning ? Not sure.

FMCG sector still defensive bet

Long term Investors may consider selective picks across the segment as good diversification avenue. ITC, Britannia and Marico are some of the good FMCG pick.
